Do I need to hire an architect or interior designer?

Eppright Homes is a full service, custom home builder located in Austin, Texas. We have an in-house team which includes an AIA architect and interior design team who are ready to work with you to bring your vision to life. While you can always bring your own team, it is not necessary in order to build with us.

Our process has been vetted and refined over the last 30 years. We enjoy working with clients that are new to building a custom home as well as those that have built with us or someone else before.

How are budgets set; how can I tell if my needs and wants are within my budget?

We have built multiple homes ourselves and understand the stress that comes from deciding what to include. Our homes are high-quality, luxurious and designed for maximum comfort. We are here to listen, design and build your dream home. We work to value-engineer with each stroke of the architect's pen. Our goal is to hand over a finished home with as little stress and worry on your part as possible.

The value of an in-house architect: Our architects are able to add or reduce square footage and features as we go through the design process to best meet your needs, both budgetary and lifestyle.

What size of custom home do you build?

Eppright Homes builds custom homes, we don’t have a square footage minimum or maximum. Typically homes range from 3,000 sf to 8,000 sf but we work with all sizes. We have built everything from estate homes with multiple homesites and various buildings to guest casitas for our clients.

Do I need to own my own lot or will your team help me find one?

You own your own lot? Wonderful! If you already have your own lot we will work with you to design the perfect house, taking into consideration your lifestyle, budget and the topography of the landscape.

You are looking for the perfect lot? We have multiple ways to help you find a lot that meets your lifestyle needs. Eppright Homes partners with exclusive, gated neighborhoods and has many connections for purchasing lots in our West Lake Hills/Rollingwood/Lake Travis/Bee Cave/Lakeway/Dripping Springs areas.

How long does it take to build a custom home?

There are many variables which will affect home construction: weather, materials availability, labor, change orders, location, size etc. Typically from the start of design through move-in, our custom homes take 12 months - 2 years. Need something sooner? We have a few lots with homes that are already designed and have gone through the engineering process. These homes are labeled “To Be Built” (TBB).

The best part is they can still be customized to your liking. Our in-house team has already done all the preliminary work and these homes can be finished in about 12 months. In addition, we sometimes have homes under construction that are complete or almost complete. Check out the “For Sales” on the website to see our current inventory.

What areas do you build in?

We have available lots in the West Lake Hills/Rollingwood/Lake Travis/Lakeway/Bee Cave/Dripping Springs areas. If you have your own lot let us know where it is and we can do a quick analysis to see if we can effectively build in your area.

What standard features can I expect from an Eppright Home?

As a full service custom home builder our standard is excellence. Our architectural design process is thorough, intentional and set-up in a way for us to brainstorm, design and guide you through the initial phase of the process. We have years of experience building custom homes to help your ideas come alive. We love it when someone brings a fresh idea we haven’t thought about and will work to incorporate it the best way possible into your plan.

We work to partner with our clients to make them feel comfortable and excited about the building process. Yes, there will be challenges but we take our “build confident” motto seriously and so can you.

Who will I be working with during my build?

Eppright Homes is a true team, there are many phases to designing and building a home. We approach each home as a “whole house”. Which means all the people that will touch your home are involved from the beginning to the end of the process. We communicate internally as well as externally so the left and right hand both know what is going on. You will start out with our Director of Architecture to decide on the perfect lot and they will continue with you through the process.

Next, they will have a series of meetings to discuss and refine your home to meet your needs. Our Director of Interior Design and your Construction Manager will also be involved during the later stages of this phase. Once building is complete and the keys are turned over your Construction Manager will continue to be your point of contact through warranty. The entire Eppright Team is at your fingertips. Give us a call to “build confident”!
